Harrogate Theatre's Sleeping Beauty runs 25 November to 17 January. Opening night on 27 November is the cheapest seat in the run, and the relaxed date is 13 December.

Harrogate Theatre’s pantomime this year is Sleeping Beauty, and it is already on sale. The run is Wednesday 25 November 2026 to Sunday 17 January 2027, a run of just over seven weeks (harrogatetheatre.co.uk).

The theatre is on Oxford Street, HG1 1QF. Box office 01423 502116, or bookings@harrogatetheatre.co.uk.

The dates that matter

Harrogate Theatre pantomime 2026/27, key performances and prices from the theatre's booking page
PerformanceDate and timePrice band
First public performance (opening night)Fri 27 Nov, 7pm£20.00 to £126.00
Relaxed performanceSun 13 Dec, 11am£22.00 to £200.00
Every other performance25 Nov to 17 Jan£23.00 to £206.00

The first two days, Wednesday 25 and Thursday 26 November, are school shows at 10am and 2pm, and the theatre flags plenty more of those on weekday mornings and afternoons through December. If you are booking a family trip, the public run really starts on the Friday.

Opening night is the cheapest ticket in the whole run. Friday 27 November at 7pm is the only performance priced from £20, and its top band is £126 rather than £206. Everything else starts at £23.

The £206 figure is not a stalls seat. Boxes seat four, come with a programme and goodies, and the theatre warns they may have a restricted view.

Accessible performances

The theatre has scheduled these, all listed on its own booking page:

  • Relaxed: Sunday 13 December, 11am
  • BSL interpreted: Saturday 5 December, 12pm, and Friday 8 January, 6pm
  • Audio described: Saturday 5 December, 12pm; Thursday 7 January, 10am; Friday 8 January, 6pm
  • Captioned: Sunday 20 December, 11am; Saturday 2 January, 7pm; Sunday 3 January, 11am; Friday 15 January, 7pm

Saturday 5 December at noon is both BSL interpreted and audio described, so it is the one performance covering two access needs at once.

The story, and who is in it

Wicked fairy Carabosse is left off the guest list for Princess Aurora’s christening and curses her: on her eighteenth birthday she will prick her finger on a spinning wheel and sleep for a hundred years. The theatre’s own summary calls it “a race against time to break the spell”.

The cast has not been announced. As at 4 September the theatre’s page shows placeholder headshots and the line “more to be announced soon!”. We will add them here when the theatre publishes them, rather than repeat names circulating elsewhere.

The pantomime is sponsored by Vet Dentist as the theatre’s primary partner.

Booking notes

  • Recommended for all ages. Under-16s must be accompanied by an adult. The theatre lists no trigger warnings.
  • Performance times across the run are 10am, 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, 4pm, 5pm, 6pm and 7pm depending on the date, so check the time as well as the day when you book.
  • Christmas Eve has two performances, at 10am and 2pm. There is nothing on Christmas Day.

What it means for you

  • If price is the deciding factor, book Friday 27 November. It is £3 cheaper at the bottom and £80 cheaper at the top than any other night.
  • If you need a relaxed performance, there is only one in the whole run, on 13 December.
  • Weekday 10am and 2pm slots in term time are school shows. Check before you assume a cheap midweek morning is a public performance.

The theatre sits in the middle of the town centre, and the nearby car parks are listed with current tariffs in our guide to parking in Harrogate. What else is on over the festive season is on our Harrogate Christmas market page, and there is more in things to do in Harrogate.
